The short version: Mistshare is a free online notepad that is private because of how it is built, not because of a promise buried in a policy. No account, so it never knows who you are. No tracking cookies. No ads. Unguessable links, so only people you share with can open a note. And notes delete themselves after about ten idle days.
Most notepads collect; Mistshare can't
The usual privacy problem with online tools is not malice, it is accumulation: an account with your email, years of documents, ad networks and analytics scripts watching along. Every piece of that is data that can leak, be sold, or be subpoenaed.
Mistshare's answer is to not have the pieces. There is no sign-up, so there is no name, email, or password to store. There are no tracking cookies and no ad networks on the page. A service that never collects your identity cannot lose it.

What "private" means here, honestly
Mistshare notes sync through a server so that real-time collaboration works, and they are not yet end-to-end encrypted. That means Mistshare is the right level of private for everyday life: drafts, lists, plans, notes you would not want indexed or profiled. For secrets that need cryptographic guarantees, use a tool built for that. We would rather tell you the boundary than market past it; end-to-end encryption is on the roadmap.
